
A big honor for a member of the Christian County Lady Colonels’ basketball team as the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches named their Region Players of the Year and Region Coaches of the Year Friday morning.
In the 2nd Region, Christian County’s NeVaeh Day was recognized as the Region Player of the Year. As of Friday morning, Day was averaging 16.7 points and 10.6 rebounds per contest, both team highs for the Lady Colonels.
Day’s efforts have helped to lead Christian County to a 16-9 record on the season and top seed in the 8th District tournament.
By being named Region Player of the Year, Day is also one of the 16 finalists for the state’s Miss Basketball award.
