
Veteran coach Shannon Hodge has added another award to her long resume as girls’ basketball coach.
The Crittenden County skipper was voted the Second Region Girls’ Coach of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches members from across the state.
Hodge is in her 32nd season as Crittenden County head coach and has won 426 games in her career — second most in region history behind Henderson County’s Jeff Haile.
Crittenden County is 19-7 and advanced to the semifinals of the All A Classic State Tournament. The Lady Rockets will be the No. 1 seed in next week’s 5th District Tournament hosted by Trigg County.
