
A tough season for an extremely young Heritage Christian Academy team came to an end Saturday in Paducah. The Lady Warriors fell to St. Mary 76-8. In their final game of the season.
Heritage Christian announced early in the season that they would not take part in the 8th District tournament.
Ava DeJager scored 5 points for the Lady Warriors with Riley Sutton scoring the other three.
DeJager, an 8th grader, ended the year as the leading scorer and the leading rebounder for the Lady Warriors. DeJager’s best game was in a loss to Dawson Springs when she scored 17 points and pulled down 20 rebounds.
Lauren Loftus, the team’s second-leading scorer, is also an 8th grader.
HCA had just nine players on the roster, with none of them a senior this season. Lexi Lyon, a junior, was the only upperclassman on the Lady Warriors’ team.
The rest of the Heritage roster was made up of four freshmen and four 8th graders.
