Sophie Parrish repeated as region champion in the 100-pound class and will enter Thursday’s Girls’ State Tournament as the No. 1 seed in the class.
The Caldwell County freshman finished fourth at state last year and could see one of the wrestlers who beat her last year in this year’s event. She says the experience gained last year should help her get a higher medal podium placement this week.
