Former Caldwell County Tiger Jabrion Spikes has been named first team All-Mid-South Conference.
Spikes was one of four Georgetown Tigers to earn all-conference honors following a 25-3 regular-season that saw Georgetown ranked No. 1 in NAIA for much of the campaign. The Tigers were ranked No. 4 in the nation in the final Top 25 poll of the season.
Spikes, a junior guard, averaged 13.3 points a game while shooting 55 percent from the field. He tallied five 20-point games on the year, with a season-best 25 against Florida College on Nov. 22.
Spikes was also one of four Georgetown athletes named to the Mid-South Conference All-Academic Team. To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and be in their 3rd term.
At Caldwell, Spikes is now seventh on the Tigers’ all-time scoring chart with 1,434 career points.
He is 11th on Caldwell’s career rebounding list with 537 career boards.
It was also announced on Thursday that Georgetown has been selected as a host site for the 1st & 2nd Rounds of the 2025 NAIA Men’s Basketball National Championship.
But before that, Georgetown will be the No. 2 seed for the Mid-South Conference Tournament. The Tigers will face No. 7 seed Lindsey Wilson in a quarterfinal round matchup at 5:00 Sunday in Bowling Green.
