Colonels and Raiders Play to 11-11 Scrimmage Tie

Pitching struggles and fielding struggles were the order of the day Saturday as the Christian County Colonels and the Warren East Raiders took to the field for the first preseason baseball scrimmage. The two teams played to an 11-11 tie through the six-inning scrimmage.

The Colonels scored their 11 runs on six hits, while the Raiders scored their 11 runs on just three hits.

Christian County was charged with 8 fielding errors and Warren East committed three. Each team’s pitching gave up 8 walks on the day.

Sebastian Dazey led the Colonel attack at the plate, going 3-3 with two doubles, a triple, and three RBIs. Aiden Lewis was 2-4 with a run scored. Eddie Davis ended up 1-2 with 3 RBIs.

Six different Colonel pitchers saw one inning of work each on the mound.
