
The Todd County Central Rebels took advantage of pitching struggles and some fielding miscues from the Fort Campbell Falcons Monday evening as the Rebels took a 12-6 scrimmage win in Elkton.
The Rebels scored all 12 runs, on just three hits, in their first three at-bats of the game, taking advantage of 8 Falcon walks and four errors.
The Rebels also had their struggles on the hill. Todd Central pitchers gave up a total of seven walks as the Falcons scored two runs in the top of the 2nd and three in the top of the 4th inning.
Hunter Johnson, Jacob Slaughter, and Aidan Bobbett had one hit each for Todd County Central.
Michael Anderson was 2-3 for Fort Campbell with a run scored. Anderson also got the start on the mound and went 1 ⅓-innings, giving up 10 runs, 9 of them earned on 3 hits, striking out none and walking four.
Conner Wheeler and Tommy VanBeber pitched two innings each for the Rebels. The two combined to give up six runs on just four hits. Only three of the runs were earned.
