After announcing his commitment back in January, Madisonville-North Hopkins quarterback Kanyon Johnson made it official Monday. Johnson signed his letter of intent to attend the University of Indianapolis and play for the Greyhounds’ football team.
During his senior season for the Maroons, Johnson finished with 1115 yards passing with 10 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He was also the team’s second-leading rusher with 141 carries for 1228 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Johnson helped to lead Madisonville-North Hopkin to a 7-4 record and a berth in the Class 4A playoffs.
The University of Indianapolis is an NCAA Division II school and plays in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
