Former Christian County girls’ basketball coach Donald Dillard will be recognized on Friday at the Kentucky Girls’ Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena.

Dillard will be one of four coaches inducted into the KABC Court of Honor, which honors coaches and media who have made significant contributions to the game. Dillard will be recognized between the 11:00 am game and the 1:30 pm game.

Dillard was 240-72 in 11 seasons at Christian County from 1995-2007. The Lady Colonels won nine district titles and three region titles, including a pair of trips to the state semifinals.

Dillard joins Joe McKay (Mason County), Jeff Honeycutt (Breathitt County), and Pete Fraley (Boyd County) in this year’s Court of Honor.

  2. It was a blessing and a privilege to come in contact with Coach Dillard and coached my daughter, he was concerned about the players, reaching the full potential and having respect for themselves, which has been a blessing so I congratulate him for all you have done and yet to do
