South Haven Christian scored in each of its four at-bats Friday as the Lady Patriots rolled past Heritage Christian Academy 17-2 in preseason softball action. The homesteading Lady Patriots got great pitching too as they held the Lady Warriors to just one hit.
South Haven scored four in the first, two in the second, three in the third, and then closed out the scrimmage with 8 runs in the bottom of the 4th. The Lady Warriors did not help their own cause any in the field as they were charged with 6 errors in the game.
Madison Warren pitched all four innings for HCA. Of the 17 runs, only 9 of them were earned. Warren struck out two and walked four.
Heritage Christian is set to open the season Thursday at Christian County.
