This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of March 10 is Hopkinsville High School’s Andrew Mayes. Andrew was selected based on his performance in the Tigers’ first preseason scrimmage game on Monday night against the McLean County Cougars.

Mayes got the start on the mound and went two innings in the preseason contest. He gave up no runs on just one hit. Mayes also struck out two batters and walked none during his time on the hill for the evening.

The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Christian County, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
