Prep Baseball Report ranked the University Heights Academy Blazers as the 8th best baseball team in the state in its preseason rankings ahead of the start of the 2025 season. The Blazers have done nothing in the first few days of the season to disprove that ranking.

Coming off a 5-1 win over Franklin-Simpson on Monday, the Blazers got a combined no-hitter from Jackson Flynn and Thomas Hallmark Thursday night as the Blazers cruised to a 15-0 four-inning district win over the Fort Campbell Falcons (0-2).

Flynn went three innings, striking out five and walking two. Hallmark pitched the top of the fourth and came up with two strikeouts and two walks.

The Blazers rapped out nine hits and took advantage of 10 walks from Fort Campbell pitching.

UHA scored one in the first, four in the second, three in the third, and then closed out the game by putting seven runs on the board in the bottom half of the fourth inning.

For the Blazers (2-0), Ryan Luckey led the offensive attack, going 2-2 with a triple, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Cortland Gibson went 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Eli Finch was 2-3 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored. Jaiden Miles finished 1-2 with 3 RBIs and a run scored.

Fort Campbell starter Noah Herron was tagged with the loss.
