The Webster County Lady Trojans bats were in overdrive Saturday. Webster County pounded out 18 hits as the Lady Trojans took a 16-1 four-inning win over the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons in Dixon. The game was one of two for the day for the Lady Falcons.
The Lady Falcons also dropped a game to the Russellville Lady Panthers.
Webster County scored three times in the bottom of the first and then effectively put the game away with nine runs in the bottom of the second to run the lead out to 12-0.
Fort Campbell got on the board in the top of the third when Jasmine Pitts singled to drive in Victoria DeLoatch.
The Lady Trojans got the run back in the bottom of the third and then closed out the game with three runs in the bottom of the fourth.
For the game, Webster County outhit the Lady Falcons 18 to 5.
Jasmine Pitts, Victoria DeLoatch, Baylee Backes, Ryleigh Watry, and Leela Togba-Doya all had one hit each for the Lady Falcons.
The Lady Falcons did not fare much better in their other game of the trip to Dixon. Russellville hung 19 runs on the board as they blanked Fort Campbell 19-0.
The two losses drop the Lady Falcons to 1-3 for the season.
