The Christian County Colonels have now won three straight. The Colonels scored in each of their four at-bats as they rolled to a 12-1 8th District win over Fort Campbell Monday evening, their second win over the Falcons in the first eight days of the season.
Sebastian Dazey carried a big load for the Colonels in the contest. Dazey was 3-3 with a home run, a double, three RBIs, and three runs scored.
The Colonels scored two in the first, five in the second, four in the third, and one more in the bottom of the fourth. Preston Stokes also had a big game at the plate, going 2-2 with 4 RBIs. Gage Montes was 2-2 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Fort Campbell’s lone run in the game came in the top of the third when John Arnold hit a sac fly to right to score Michael Anderson, who had reached base on a Christian County error earlier in the inning.
Anderson finished his night 2-3 with a run scored. John Arnold was 1-2. Ryan Brewer and Brody Davis added one hit each for the Falcons.
Preston Stokes got the start for Christian County (4-2). He went two innings, giving up no runs on two hits, striking out three and walking none.
For Fort Campbell (1-4), Corey Baker took the loss. He went two innings on the mound, giving up seven runs on five hits, striking out none and walking three.
