Hopkins County Central finished in 11th place at Saturday’s KHSAA Region 1 Archery Tournament at Trigg County.
Samuel Pierce led the Storm shooters with a score of 272, good for 61st place. Morgan Adams shot a 271 to finish in 66th place, and Will Carter was 72nd with a score of 268.
Weston Smith (265) was 87th, followed by Sawyer Littlepage (263) in 97th place; Adam Rideout (247) in 128th place; Joel Murrah (245) in 131st place; Jaxson Miller (241) in 134th place; Jordan Haw (195) in 143rd place; and Max Davis (195) in 144th place.
As a team, Hopkins Central scored 1,831 points to finish in 11th place.
Unlike NASP tournaments, where the top 12 scores of both boys and girls count toward a team score, the KHSAA takes the top seven scores of each gender to determine the boys’ and girls’ team and individual champions.
