Hopkins County Central Archers Finish in 11th Place at Region (w/PHOTOS)

Hopkins County Central finished in 11^th place at Saturday’s KHSAA Region 1 Archery Tournament at Trigg County.

Samuel Pierce led the Storm shooters with a score of 272, good for 61^st place. Morgan Adams shot a 271 to finish in 66^th place, and Will Carter was 72^nd with a score of 268.

Weston Smith (265) was 87^th, followed by Sawyer Littlepage (263) in 97^th place; Adam Rideout (247) in 128^th place; Joel Murrah (245) in 131^st place; Jaxson Miller (241) in 134^th place; Jordan Haw (195) in 143^rd place; and Max Davis (195) in 144^th place.

As a team, Hopkins Central scored 1,831 points to finish in 11^th place.

Unlike NASP tournaments, where the top 12 scores of both boys and girls count toward a team score, the KHSAA takes the top seven scores of each gender to determine the boys’ and girls’ team and individual champions.
