
The Fort Campbell Lady Falcons’ offense was clicking right along Monday evening. The Lady Falcons scored in every inning but one as they outslugged West Creek 20-14 to pick up their first win of the 2025 softball season.
The only inning the Lady Falcons did not score in was the top of the first and West Creek, who scored in every inning but the 7th, took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the inning.
For the game, Fort Campbell outhit the Lady Coyotes 14-11 and had fewer errors in the field with 3, compared to West Creek’s four miscues.
Ryleigh Watry was sizzling at the plate for Fort Campbell. The senior went 4-6 with two triples, a double, four RBIs and three runs scored.
Braelyn Penley, Emma Kolmerton, Hailey Herron, and Baylee Backes all had two hits each for the victorious Lady Falcons.
Kolmerton had four RBIs in the game. Makayla Galvez, Jordan Herring, along with Herron and Backes, added two RBIs each.
Hailey Herron went the distance in the circle to pick up the win for Fort Campbell (2-3). She gave up 14 runs, 9 of them earned, on 11 hits, striking out 12 and walking 8.
