
The Hopkins County Central girls’ archery team took 10th place at the Region 1 Tournament on Saturday at Trigg County.
Hallie Groves led the Lady Storm with a score of 273, good for 25th place. Lily Payne shot a 268 to finish in 37th place, and Rebekah Jolly was 56th with a score of 261.
Stacey Parrish (257) was 72nd, followed by KayLynn Sailing (251) in 84th place; Kaylee Hopper (237) in 104th place; Lydia Vincent (230) in 108th place; and Izabel Long (201) in 113th place.
Hopkins County Central scored 1,777 points and finished 13 points behind ninth-place Union County.
Unlike NASP tournaments where the top 12 scores of both and girls go toward a team score, the KHSAA takes the top seven scores of each gender to determine the boys’ and girls’ team and individual champion.
