Blazers Run to Fourth Place at Muhlenberg Invitational

The first big invitational of the 2025 outdoor track and field season saw the University Heights Academy Blazers finish in third place at the Muhlenberg County Invitational on Saturday.

Griffin McCoy had three top-four finishes in the sprint events, following up on a successful indoor season.

McCoy was second in the 400-meter dash in 52.25 seconds, was third in the 200-meter dash in 22.52 seconds, and was fourth in the 100-meter dash in 11.29 seconds.

Zech Davis was second in the 800-meter run in 2:18.56.

Logan Miller was second in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.72 seconds and second in the 300-meter hurdles in 43.21 seconds.

Clayton Lester was sixth in the 100-meter dash in 11.84 seconds and sixth in the 200 meters in 23.35 seconds. Lester also finished fourth in the high jump at 5-8.

Cole Glover was 13th in the 1600-meter run in 5:20.35.

Garrett Bowling was 20th in the 1600-meter run in 5:51.48 and was 21st in the 800-meter dash in 2:31.92.

UHA competed in one relay event, winning the 3200 meters in 8:47.80.

UHA was fourth with 63 points. Paducah Tilghman won the team title with 86 points, followed by Christian County (76) and Hopkinsville (69).
