A strong doubles effort carried the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons to a statement tennis win Tuesday afternoon in Henderson. The Lady Maroons took a 6-3 win over the Lady Colonels, putting themselves in the position of team favorite for the 2nd Region championship later this season.
Madisonville and Henderson split the six singles matches of the day. The difference for match was in doubles, where the Lady Maroons swept all three to take the team match win.
