Giving up 14 walks will normally cost you a softball game. Clarksville Northeast found a way to survive doing just that Wednesday evening as the Lady Eagles came from behind to upend the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons 8-7.

Fort Campbell (1-5) looked to have things its way after a 6-run top of the third that turned a 5-1 deficit into a 7-5 lead.

During the rally, the Lady Falcons scored three runs on bases-loaded walks. Fort Campbell also had RBI singles from Daniela Hernandez and Hailey Herron.

Northeast led off the bottom of the fourth with a home run and then added two more runs over the course of the inning to take the lead back at 8-7.

Despite giving up four walks over the next three innings, the Lady Eagles were able to shutout the Lady Falcons to hold on to the win.

Fort Campbell was led by Emma Kolmerton, who went 3-5 with a double. Ryleigh Watry was 2-3 with a run scored. Hailey Herron ended up 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Herron also pitched a solid 2 ⅔ innings in relief, giving up no runs on just one hit, striking out two and walking three.
