
Tember Oliver had a big night for the Trigg County Lady Wildcats Friday night, not only in the circle but at the plate as well. Oliver pitched a complete game and drove in three runs as the Lady Wildcats took a big 11-1 six-inning win over 5th District rival Crittenden County at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.
Oliver gave up just two hits and struck out five in picking up the win for Trigg County. The only run she gave up to the Lady Rockets was an unearned run in the top of the first.
At the plate, Oliver finished the night 3-4 with 3 RBIs.
After Crittenden County took the brief 1-0 lead, Trigg County came back with three runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back.
Trigg added three runs in the bottom of the third, three more in the bottom of the fifth, and then closed out the 10-run rule win with two in the bottom of the sixth.
In addition to the big night for Tember Oliver, Livia Breckel, Lily Eagleson, and Kady Fuller had two hits each for the Lady Wildcats. Eagleson and Fuller also had two RBIs each.
For the game, Trigg County outhit Crittenden County 10 to 2. The Lady Rockets were also charged with four errors.
With the win, the Lady Wildcats put an end to a four-game losing streak and improve to 3-4 for the season.
