Coming off their first loss of the season Thursday night, the Webster County Trojans rebounded in a big way Friday evening. The Trojans got a big pitching performance from Aiden Alstadt as they took a big 14-2 win over the Fort Campbell Falcons in Dixon.
Alstadt pitched six innings of two-hit baseball to get the win on the mound for the Trojans. He gave up two runs, one of them earned, on just two hits, striking out 8 and walking two.
Webster County (5-1) scored in every inning but one of the six that were played as they came up with 14 hits to just the two for Fort Campbell. After scoring one in the bottom of the first, the Trojans finished out with 2 in the third, 3 in the fourth, and four in both the fifth and sixth innings.
Jackson Edens and Jameson Newton had home runs in the win for the Trojans.
Ryan Brewer and Colton Ramos had one hit each for the Falcons (1-6). Ramos also drove in a run.
Michael Anderson went 4 ⅔ on the hill for Fort Campbell in taking the loss.
