Caldwell County Takes 11th Place at Invitational of the South

Caldwell County ran into the late night and early morning at the Invitational of the South on Friday and brought home an 11th-place finish.

Evan Ramage was 10th in the 3200 meters in 11:37.92.

Jackson Risley was 10th in the 300-meter hurdles in 47.39 seconds.

Shane Fairrow was 12th in the 100-meter dash in 11.56 seconds.

Brenton Springfield was 14th in the 110-meter hurdles in 21.35 seconds and 15th in the 300-meter hurdles in 51.92 seconds.

Jacob Forsythe was 14th in the 300-meter hurdles in 51.04 seconds.

Charles Ray was 17th in the 800-meter dash in 2:16.27.

Layton Wall was 19th in the 800-meter dash in 2:18.74.

Elijha Kirby was 23rd in the 200-meter dash in 24.84 seconds.

Eli Stevens was 23rd in the 400-meter dash in 59.49 seconds.

Hoayang Wu was 26th in the 800-meter dash in 2:28.18.

James Phelps was 26th in the 1600-meter run in 5:50.14.

Gus Fox was 27th in the 100-meter dash in 11.81 seconds.

Jerret Basco was 28th in the 400-meter dash in 1:00.64.

Dayton Wilson was 42nd in the 200-meter dash in 27.89 seconds.

In the relays, the 400-meter team of Elijha Kirby, Tre Copeland, Gus Fox, and Shane Fairrow finished in fourth place in 45.11 seconds.

Fox, Copleland, Fairrow, and Xvaier Lee finished third in the 1600 meters in 3:51.81 and were fourth in the 800-meter relay in 1:32.66.

Eli Stevens, Layton Wall, James Phelps, and Charles Ray came in sixth place in the 3200-meter relay in 9:22.98.

In the field events, Cooper Mobley came in second in the shot put with a heave of 48-7. He finished sixth in the discus throw at 139-5.

Daniel Laurent was eighth in the discus throw at 131-4 and was 21st in the shot put at 36-5.

Xvaier Lee was 10th in the long jump at 18-6.5.

Colson Mattocks was 14th  in the triple jump at 36-4 and was 15th in the long jump at 18-3.5.

Daelyn Lander, Jackson Risley, and Dayton Wilson all tied for 16th place in the high jump at 5-2. Risley was 17th in the triple jump at 35-9.

Elijha Kirby was 23rd in the long jump at 16-4.

Bayden Herran was 30th in the triple jump at 29-10.5.

Dillon Samuels was 41st in the discus throw at 69-4 and was 44th in the shot put at 26-6.

As a team, Caldwell County scored 31 points to finish in 11th place in the 25 team field. Their score was third among Class A schools, trailing Murray (44), and Fort Campbell (64).
