Livingston Central junior Talon Sanchez will be looking for another trip to the Class 1A state meet medal podium this year. He’s off to a good start after sweeping the 110 and 300-meter hurdle events at Friday’s Invitational of the South at Marshall County.

Sanchez set a school record in the 110, running a 15.35, edging Hopkinsville’s Keyshun Teal (15.41) and Elijah Reid (15.50), and Fort Campbell’s Sam Atoubi (15.56) at the finish line.

His time of 42.63 seconds in the 300 was the second fastest in school history and was just .41 seconds off the time he ran at last year’s state meet. He edged Teal (42.80) again at the line in sweeping the hurdles and earning this Max’s Moment.
