This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of March 24 is Christian County High School’s Nolan Young. Nolan was selected based on his performance in the Colonels’ win over preseason 2nd Region favorite Lyon County,

Young looked nothing like the freshman he is on the hill as he helped the Colonels win their fourth in a row Tuesday night by taking a 5-3 win over the Lyons.

Young went five innings on the hill and contained the potent Lyon County batting order, giving up three runs on six hits, striking out seven and walking two.

The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Christian County, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
