Hopkins Central got a run back in the home half of the first when Ava McCord walked, advanced to second base when Julia Harris was hit by a pitch, and came home to score on an Emily Ballard single to right.
Gracee Miller added a run-scoring single in the second inning, and Naomi Welborn doubled home Todd’s 11th run in the third inning.
Todd’s offense backed the pitching of Woodall, who improved to 2-0 by allowing one run in four innings with seven strikeouts and three walks. Olivia Weikel chipped in with a scoreless inning of relief.
