The University Heights Academy Blazers are headed to the 2nd Region All A Classic championship game. The Blazers advanced to the title game with a workman-like 11-1 win over the Crittenden County Rockets Friday night at Simmons Field.

The win sets up a championship game battle between UHA and Lyon County. The Blazers picked up a win over the Lyons earlier in the season.

The Blazers effectively settled this one almost as soon as it got started. Due to bracket position, UHA was the visiting team on its own field. The Blazers plated four runs in the top of the first and kept rolling from there.

UHA would go on to add four more runs in the second and three in the third to run the lead out to 11-0. From there it was just a matter of the final score and how far the game would go.

Crittenden County put a run on the board in the bottom of the fifth but it was not enough to avoid the game ending due to the 10-run rule after five.

Cadence Gibson had a big game for the Blazers going 2-3 with 3 RBIs and two runs scored. Aiden Jones, Josh Pace, and Eli Finch added two hits each for the Blazers.

UHA outhit Crittenden County 11-1 for the game. The Rockets did not help their cause any in the field, committing five errors for the night.

Ryan Luckey got the start on the mound for UHA. He went 3 ⅓ innings, giving up no runs on one hit, striking out five and walking one.
