She battled her way through an ACL tear and back to the volleyball court and now University Heights Academy’s Olivia Oakley is headed off to the East Coast to continue both her athletic and her educational career.

Oakley officially signed to play for Caldwell University Friday morning during ceremonies before family, friends, and the UHA student body in Blazer Gym.

Caldwell University is an NCAA Division II school located in Caldwell, New Jersey, a short commute from New York City. The Cougars are a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.

During her senior season, Oakley led the Lady Blazers in kills with 262. As a junior, Oakley was a big part of the UHA team that dominated the 2nd Region, finishing 36-3 and reaching the state tournament before falling to McCracken County in a tough 3-set match.

Oakley suffered her knee injury not long after her junior season, causing her to miss softball season, but she was able to return in time for the 2024 volleyball season.

After the papers were signed, she spoke with YourSportsEdge.Com about moving on to play at the next level.
