Kentucky baseball walked it off in a 5-4 victory over No. 2 Texas on Saturday that took 15 innings.
The Wildcats and Longhorns battled back and forth all afternoon but it was UK head coach Nick Mingione and his team who came out victorious, with thanks to an error by Texas when they failed to secure an attempted sacrifice bunt.
Griffin Cameron laid down the bunt and the throw by Texas to first base was no-good, allowing Kentucky baserunner Devin Burkes to go from first to home for the win.
Kentucky’s victory on Saturday tied the series with Texas and the two teams will square off in their final game against each other this afternoon, with first pitch scheduled for Noon ET.
