
While not competing with a full roster, the University Heights Academy track and field team took seventh place at Fort Campbell’s Coach Johnson Memorial on Saturday.
Griffin McCoy came in second place in the 100-meter dash, just .02 seconds behind the winner, Satona Bailey of Christian County.
McCoy was also in third place in the 400 meters in 50.95 seconds.
Logan Miller came in second in both the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles. He was .06 seconds off first in the 110 meters and 1.12 seconds.
Harlow Hampton was sixth in the 400 meters in 53.82 seconds.
Clayton Lester was eighth in the 100 meters in 11.47 seconds and ninth in the 400 meters in 54.46 seconds.
The 400-meter relay team of Clayton Lester, Harlow Hampton, Griffin McCoy, and Ryan Luckey took first place in 43.76 seconds. They ran in a different heat than Fort Campbell, who was second in 44.22 seconds.
The 3200-meter relay team was third in 8:44.71.
Aliviah Acree was the lone Lady Blazer to run on Saturday. She finished 15th in the 100 meters in 14.46 seconds and 14th in the 200 meters in 1:16.29.
