Looking for their sixth win in a row with McCracken County in town on Monday, the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons instead found hits hard to come by in a 14-0 loss to the Lady Mustangs.

The Lady Mustangs did almost all of their damage in the third and fourth innings, with Savannah McDowell’s two-run home run to center field highlighting the third and Alyssa Knight capping the scoring with a two-run triple in the fourth.

Mackenzie Stoltz took the loss in the circle for Madisonville, allowing seven runs, six earned, on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts.  Sadie Kirk and Katelyn Rodgers each had a hit for the Lady Maroons.

Addley Leidecker earned the win, holding Madisonville to a pair of hits over four innings.  McCracken snapped a three-game skid to improve to 17-4.

Knight led the way with three hits and three RBI, Olivia Lee and McDowell each had two hits and drove in two runs, and Hamilton and Cate Hurley both collected two RBI.

Madisonville slipped to 10-7 ahead of a visit from Webster County on Thursday.
