7th Inning Homer Leads Lady Wildcats to 4th Straight Win

Lily Eagleson’s home run in the top of the 7th turned out to be the game winner as the Trigg County Lady Wildcats picked up a big 4-3 road win Tuesday night at Muhlenberg County. The win is the fourth straight for the Lady Wildcats.

Eagleson’s blast capped off a back-and-forth game between the Lady Wildcats and the Lady Mustangs.

Trigg Count took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second on a two-run single off the bat of Madilynn Smith.

The Lady Mustangs plated one in the bottom of the third and two in the bottom of the fourth to grab a 3-2 lead.

Eagleson tied the game in the top of the 5th win an RBI single that scored MaKenna Hendricks and tied the game at 3-3.

Eagleson finished the game 2-4 with a home run, two RBIs, and a run scored. Maddie Smith ended up 3-3 with 2 RBIs. Tember Oliver and Kady Fuller added two hits each.

Tember Oliver went the distance in the circle to get the win, her 11th of the season. She allowed three runs, just one of them earned, on four hits, striking out four and walking two.

Trigg County improves to 12-6 with the win.
