The Trigg County Wildcats picked up their first district win of the season Tuesday evening. The Wildcats took advantage of six Crittenden County Rocket errors and pounded out 13 hits on the way to a 10-4 win in Marion.

Chase Hampton went the full seven innings on the hill for the Wildcats to pick up the win, giving up 8 hits, while striking out 12 and walking four.

Trigg County took a 1-0 lead after the first half inning on a sac fly from Chase Hampton. After the Rockets tied the game in the bottom of the first, the Wildcats took the lead for good with a 3-run top of the second. Aaden Allen had the big hit in the inning with an RBI triple.

The Wildcats added a run in the top of the 4th, and this time it was Allen again with an RBI single, extending the lead to 5-1.

The Rockets used a base hit and a wild pitch to cut the lead down to 6-4 in the bottom of the fifth.

However, Trigg County put the game away with a bases loaded walk, a two-run single from Aaden Allen, and a Crittenden County error on a single from Bentley Reynolds.

For the game, Aaden Allen was 4-4 with 4 RBIs and a run scored. Bentley Reynolds finished 3-5 with two runs scored. Slaton Carter and James Garnett added two hits each.
