The Christian County Colonels made a short night of it Monday evening. The Colonels scored 13 runs in the bottom of the first as they rolled past Heritage Christian 15-0 in four innings in an 8th District matchup.
Twelve of the first thirteen batters to come to the plate for the Colonels reached base safely as Christian County hung double digits on the scoreboard.
Eddie Davis was essentially untouchable on the mound for the Colonels. He went all four innings, giving up no hits, striking out eight and walking one.
Gage Montes led the Colonel attack at the plate, going 3-3 with a triple, 5 RBIs, and two runs scored. Eddie Davis, Layton Creamer, and Thadius Tolliver had two hits and two RBIs each for Christian County.
Christian County improves to 10-9 with the win.
Heritage Christian drops to 3-10.
