Heritage Christian Rolls Past Dawson Springs 13-3

Hadlee Hayes and Madison Warren had two hits each to help the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors put an end to their two-game losing skid Tuesday night. HCA scored at least four runs in three of their at-bats as they took a 13-3 five-inning win over the Dawson Springs Lady Panthers.

The Lady Warriors got to the lead with four runs in the bottom of the first. HCA took advantage of three hit batters and one walk during the inning.

Heritage came back with a five-run inning in the bottom of the third to run the lead out to 9-1. Madison Warren, Lilly Anderson, and Kailyn Johnson had big hits during the inning.

Leading 9-3, Heritage then ended the game with four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Madison Warren doubled in two runs and then Ava DeJager sent the Heritage fans home early and happy with an RBI single to get to the 10-run rule.

Madison Warren was 2-3 with two doubles, two RBIs, and two runs scored. Hadlee Hayes was 2-3 with two runs scored.

For Dawson Springs, Tallie Robinson finished 2-2. Briley Sawyer was 1-3 with a double and an RBI. Sophia Johnson ended up 1-2 with an RBI.

For the game, HCA outhit the Lady Panthers 7 to 6.

Kailyn Johnson got the win for the Lady Warriors in the circle, going five innings and giving up three runs on six hits, striking out seven and walking five.
