University Heights Academy pitcher Josh Pace was pretty good Thursday night. Actually, he was better than just pretty good. Pace pitched a complete game two-hitter as the Blazers won their 5th straight game by handling Henderson County 6-0.

Pace did not give up a hit until a single in the top of the fifth inning. Henderson County added another single in the top of the sixth, but that was it for the Colonels, who lost for the consecutive night in the southern end of the region.

Pace ended up striking out 10 and walking two for his seven innings of work.

UHA took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Hayden Hunt scored on a wild pitch. The lead grew to 3-0 in the bottom of the second on an RBI single from Josh Pace and a Colonel error.

A bases-loaded walk and a single added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth for the Blazers. They added another insurance run in the bottom of the sixth on a ground out.

Aiden Jones was 2-4 for the Blazers with an RBI and a run scored. Courtland Gibson finished 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
