A combination of two hits for your offense and five errors against your defense is not usually a winning combination on the baseball field. That is what happened to the Fort Campbell Falcons Thursday night as they went on the road and dropped a 13-3 five-inning decision at Clarksville Northwest.
Northwest scored in every at-bat, capped off with a seven-run bottom of the fourth inning.
The Falcons scored all of their runs in the top of the fourth to cut the lead from 6-0 down to 6-3, but the bottom of the bucket fell out in the bottom of the fourth as Northwest put the game away.
John Arnold and Tanner Starnater had one hit and one RBI each for Fort Campbell.
The Falcons are set to be back home Monday to host Trigg County.
