Trigg County senior Haydon Reynolds received a Tom Leach All-Resilient Team honor on Thursday in Louisville.

The All-Resilient Team honors student-athletes from Kentucky high schools who have had to overcome some form of adversity to compete and often excel in sports, within the previous calendar year.  University of Kentucky broadcaster Tom Leach recognized the selections at Thursday’s Kentucky Athletic Administrators’ Association banquet.

Reynolds, a member of Trigg County’s golf and baseball teams, was involved in a serious car crash in October when his vehicle ran off the road and overturned several times.

Haydon suffered three spinal fractures, needed a spinal fusion, and endured a broken clavicle and a concussion that required extensive rehabilitation.

He qualified for both the Class 2A and KHSAA state golf tournaments and was an All-District baseball player in 2024. He pitches and plays first base for the Wildcats as a senior this spring and will continue his golf career at John Logan College.
