Henderson County Qualifies Team for State Bass Fishing Tourney (w/PHOTOS)

The Henderson County team of Kamdyn Dill and Jaxon Pedigo qualified for the KHSAA State Bass Fishing Tournament after an 11th-place finish at Saturday’s region tourney on Lake Barkley.

Dill and Pedigo caught four bass that weighed 11 pounds.

They will compete at the state tournament on May 9-10 at Lake Cumberland, the first time that venue has hosted the state tourney.

Two other Henderson County boats brought fish to the scales but did not finish inside the top 26 teams to qualify for state.

Jaxton Coomes and Nile Harmon finished in 40th place with two fish that weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces.

Logan Peveler and Porter Garber came in 69th place with one fish that weighed one pound, 14 ounces.

Muhlenberg County had the top two teams reach the scales at Saturday’s region tourney.

Chase Rickard and Dylan Eubanks won with five fish weighing 18 pounds, 7 ounces. Karson Stone and Levi Simms came in second place with five fish at 18 pounds, 5 ounces.
