
Trigg County will be sending two teams to the KHSAA State Bass Fishing Tournament following a tough day on the lakes at Saturday’s Region 1 Tournament.
Parker Hagewood and Wyatt Rogers finished in seventh place with four fish that weighed 12 pounds, 7 ounces.
For Hagewood, it is his second trip to the state tournament. He and Eli Moore finished 49th last year.

Gentry Hyde and Braxton Hagrove finished 17th with three fish that weighed nine pounds, 10 ounces. They also had a big bass that checked in at 4 pounds, 2 ounces.

It will be the duo’s first trip to state after a 35th-place finish at region last year.
Trigg’s teams will compete in the state tournament on May 9-10 at Lake Cumberland, the first time that venue has hosted the tournament.
Trigg County sent six boats onto the lakes on Saturday from Kuttawa Harbor, with four boats returning with fish.

Eli Moore and Trystan Webb came in 49th place with one fish that weighed four pounds, 1 ounce.

Darren McCraw and Gabe McAllister came in 55th place with one fish that weighed three pounds.
Muhlenberg County had the top two teams reach the scales at Saturday’s region tourney.
Chase Rickard and Dylan Eubanks won with five fish weighing 18 pounds, 7 ounces. Karson Stone and Levi Simms came in second place with five fish at 18 pounds, 5 ounces.
