Webster County’s Cooper Logan entered Monday night’s game at Madisonville-North Hopkins with an ERA of just 0.66. The Maroons were not apparently not overly impressed with that number. Madisonville got on top of Cooper early and never let up. The Maroons plated four runs in the first, two in the second, and one in the third as they took a 7-0 lead and then held on the rest of the way to take the five-run win.

Ryder Sandidge was hot for the Maroons. He went 4-5 at the plate with a triple, two RBIs, and three runs scored. Alex Richards ended up 2-4 with 3 RBIs. Brantley Harris was 1-4 with two RBIs, and a run scored.

The Maroons picked up the win despite being outhit by the Trojans 12 to 10.

Lane Faulk picked up his third win of the season on the mound for the Maroons. He went six innings, giving up four runs on 9 hits, striking out five and walking none.

With the win, Madisonville has now won four of its last five games.
