10-Run Inning Powers Caldwell’s Girls Past Todd 15-2

A 10-run third inning allowed the Caldwell County Lady Tigers to even their season record at 10-10.

Caldwell’s girls overcame an early 1-0 deficit to post a 15-2 victory in five innings at Todd County Central on Thursday.

The Lady Tigers banged out 15 base hits in the contest.

Grace Watson led the hit parade, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs batted in.

Brylee Butts went 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs while Harper Holeman was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs batted in. They each scored three times.

Daelen Kizzee went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Carlee Palm finished the day 2-for-4 at the plate while driving in two.

Adley Lewis, Alexis Wood, Tink Clark and Josie Palm each singled.

Jackie Farmer was the winning pitcher. She tossed all five innings, allowing one earned run on three base hits. Farmer struck out six and walked two.

Dakotah Gammon was 2-for-2 with an RBI for Todd County Central, which is now 9-10. Olivia Weikel went 1-for-2.

Caldwell is now 7-3 all-time against Todd Central.

The Lady Tigers will next host Webster County on Friday for Senior Night.

The Lady Rebels will go to Bowling Green on Friday.
