Tember Oliver picked up her 17th win of the season Tuesday night. The Trigg County sophomore went the distance in the circle as the Lady Wildcats took care of Calloway County 10-0 for their 11th win in their last 13 games.
Oliver struck out eight and walked two as she dominated the Calloway County lineup, allowing just a leadoff single in the bottom of the first and another leadoff single in the bottom of the fourth.
Oliver not only had it going in the circle, she carried a ‘big’ bat Tuesday night. She hit two of three Trigg County home runs in the game. Kady Fuller had the other Lady Wildcat dinger.
The Lady Wildcats scored twice in the top of the second. One run on an Oliver homer and the other on a Veyda Grinols single.
Trigg then hung five runs on the board in the top of the fifth. Fuller’s two-run homer was the big blow in the inning.
The Lady Wildcats then capped off the game with three runs in the top of the seventh. Oliver hit her second home run of the night and Livia Brecker pushed across two runs with a single to left.
The Lady Wildcats had 15 hits in the game. Tember Oliver had three while MaKenna Hendricks, Veyda Grinols, Livia Breckel, and Madilynn Smith added two hits each. Every Lady Wildcat batter had at least one hit for the game.
The Lady Wildcats are set to go on the road Thursday to take on two-time All A Classic state champion Livingston Central.
