
Madisonville-North Hopkins was limited to just two base hits in an 11-1 setback at Daviess County on Monday.
Brodie Tucker pitched the Panthers to the victory, allowing just an unearned run in the fourth inning. He struck out one and walked three in six innings.
Meanwhile, Daviess (16-10) scored four runs in the first inning to grab the lead early. The Panthers finished the game with six runs in the bottom of the sixth to end the contest on the 10-run mercy rule.
Sean Page was 2-for-4 with six runs batted in for Daviess. That includes a grand slam in the bottom of the first inning.
Logan Mewes was 3-for-4 with a triple and scored three times while Mason Russelburg went 2-for-2 for the Panthers.
Madisonville (13-11) got singles from Alex Richards and Lane Faulk.
The Maroons will play again Tuesday at Union County.
