Limping into Tuesday’s matchup at Heritage Christian Academy on a seven-game losing skid, the Mayfield Lady Cardinals got well in a big way with a 14-0 five-inning victory over the Lady Warriors.

Leading 3-0 after Lex Feagin’s RBI triple in the second, Mayfield blew the game open with 10 runs over the next two innings.  Jaidyn Hendley’s three-run triple and RBI doubles by Brylee Langston and Feagin did most of the damage to stretch the lead to 13-0.

Mayfield’s Anabella Ramos held the Lady Warriors to only four hits, walking four and striking out seven to earn the win in the circle.

Hendley finished 3/3 with three RBI for the Lady Cardinals, Feagin had two hits and drove in three, and Bella Wilson chipped in two RBI.

Madison Warren took the loss for HCA, allowing 14 earned runs on 16 hits with eight walks over five innings.  Hadlee Hayes had two hits for the Lady Warriors, and Ava DeJager finished with a hit.

Heritage Christian slipped to 5-7 ahead of a rematch in Mayfield on Friday.
