Senior Allicen Harris has been Marshall County’s best pitcher all season long. Tuesday evening, the Lyon County Lady Lyons faced Harris for the second time and were reminded of that fact.
Harris pitched a complete game four hitter as the Lady Marshals took a 5-0 road win at Lee S. Jones Park. The win was was measure of revenge for Harris and her Marshall County teammates, who lost a 2-0 home decision to the Lady Lyons on April 24.
This time around, the Lady Lyons had trouble generating offense and spotted the Lady Marshals four unearned runs thanks to four errors in the field.
Marshall County scored two in the second and then added three more in the fifth.
For the Lady Lyons, Lilly Perry, Olivia Moore, Ava Prow, and Emma Brasher had one hit each.
Lilly Perry was charged with the loss in the circle, giving up five runs, but only two of them were earned, on ten hits, striking out two and walking none.
Allicen Harris also did the job at the plate for the Lady Marshals, going 2-4, with a double, two RBIs, and a run scored.
