Madisonville-North Hopkins senior Trashaun Smith broke a pair of triple jump records with one leap at Thursday’s Class 3A Region 2 Track and Field Meet. His first jump of 48-and-a-quarter feet broke his own school record of 47 feet, 2 inches set earlier this year.
He also broke a 39-year-old meet record of 47 feet, 5 inches set by Paducah Tilghman’s Michael Stone in 1986. Smith would extend his record to 48 feet, 10 inches on his next jump.
Come for Trashaun’s jump and stay for his reaction in this Max’s Moment.
