Todd Country Central took on Franklin-Simpson Monday evening in Russellville, and their season came to end on a walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh inning that caused the game to end with a final score of 4-3.
The Lady Rebels struck first in the top of the fourth inning with a line drive double to center field from Naomi Welborn. A single in the same inning from Isabelle Hightower then made it 2-0 in favor of the Lady Rebels.
Todd County Central got one more run in the top of the fifth with a home run from Addison Woodall before Franklin-Simpson answered back with a pair of singles that made it 3-2.

In the bottom of the seventh, Franklin-Simpson got two runners on base with a hit by pitch and a single. Then, a double from Kloie Smith scored both of them, winning the game for Franklin-Simpson 4-3.
Despite having seven less hits than Franklin-Simpson, the Lady Rebels were able to hold their own until the very end.
Todd County Central ended the season with a 10-14 record and a 2-4 record in district games.
