The leading rebounder for the Hopkins County Central Storm this past season will be continuing his athletic and academic career at the next level. Storm senior Karon Hopson has signed to play at Illinois Valley Community College.
Illinois Valley, in Oglesby, is a member of the Arrowhead Athletic Conference and the National Junior College Athletic Association.
During his senior season in 2024-2025, Hopson averaged 6.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest.
He also shot 51.6 percent from the field.
