
The Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons will play for their 12th straight 7th District championship after routing Dawson Springs 15-0 in three innings in semifinal action Monday in Princeton.
The Lady Maroons (23-9-1) put up eight runs in the first inning and six runs in the third on their way to the big win over the Lady Panthers.
Mackenzie Stoltz did not give up a base hit to Dawson and struck out nine in her three innings in the circle. She allowed one walk.
Meanwhile, Sadie Kirk was 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and four runs batted in for the Lady Maroons. Maggie Killough was 2-for-2 with a double and scored three times.
Nevaeh Lindle and Sophie Frailley each tripled for Madisonville. Stoltz had a double. Sydney Skeen singled.

The Lady Maroons scored their 15 runs on eight base hits and six walks along with three hit batters.
Madisonville has now won 39 straight games against Dawson. That string goes back to the 2010 season.
The Lady Panthers end their season with a record of 1-16.
Dawson has not advanced to the 2nd Region tournament since 2010. The Lady Panthers last won the 7th District championship in 2007.
Madisonville will next face Caldwell County (15-14) in Tuesday’s 7:00 district championship game, weather permitting.

The Lady Tigers rolled past Hopkins County Central 13-2 in five innings in Monday’s other semifinal game.
It’s the eighth-straight time that the Lady Maroons and the Lady Tigers will meet for the district title.
Both Madisonville and Caldwell have earned berths in the 2nd Region tournament next week at Webster County.
